SquaredUp DS for SCOM is a data visualization platform for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to create an advanced Enterprise Application Monitoring solution. Here are some key facts about SquaredUp DS:

  • SquaredUp DS is a web application that takes the data in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (and other sources) and presents it in fast, easy-to-use dashboards.
  • You need Microsoft System Center Operations Manager in order to use SquaredUp DS for SCOM.

Getting Started

1. Install SquaredUp DS for SCOM

Install SquaredUp DS for SCOM in your test environment. It takes just 10 minutes to get up and running as you'll see in the video below (4 mins):

2. Visualize your data

Download ready-made dashboards and edit them to suit your needs.

3. Add your team

Any SCOM user can log on to SquaredUp DS, but the number of users is restricted by the number of licenses (Named Users) you have purchased from SquaredUp.

What users can see and do in SquaredUp DS is controlled by SCOM RBAC and whether they are a SquaredUp DS admin or user.

4. Share dashboards with other users

Open Access allows users to view a version of the dashboard with simplified interactivity. Open Access dashboards don't need authentication and don't use Named User licenses.

You may also want to delegate out the ability to create and edit dashboards. As a SquaredUp DS administrator you can give groups author permission to a Team Folder, within which they can create and edit dashboards.
